We enable beneficiary organizations to work towards a solution at the source and create a lasting positive change in our society. Spronck Foundation preferably supports projects that are replicable. The projects supported must align with the organizations objectives and demonstrate measurable impact, such as raising awareness, conducting research, and/or providing solutions.
Furthermore, it is important that there are co-funders for both the projects and the organization. Spronck Foundation supports initiatives and organizations in the Netherlands and Europe that advocate for a plastic-free, healthy living environment and/or provide alternatives to plastic. There is a strong focus on the themes of Single Use Plastic and Fashion.
Synthetic clothing contributes significantly to plastic pollution. More than 60% of all clothing produced is made of plastic. This needs to change.
40% of global plastic production is used to make packaging materials. Many so-called Single Use Plastic applications have alternatives. More awareness needs to be raised about this. Spronck Foundation aims to stimulate research, increase awareness, and promote solutions.

In ‘This Was the Plastic Age’, children go on an expedition to the plastic age with Dr. Buis, a plastic age expert from 2132. He tells everything about the plastic problem: what types were there, where in the world they suffered from it, and which young heroes tackled the plastic problem.
Three young heroes have been selected on each continent who have rebelled to address the plastic problem. These young heroes have demonstrated, gone on strikes, started petitions, developed robots, and much more.
